A labor of love, Lisa Lin Collection is fine jewelry designed with heart and finished by hand in Los Angeles.

In 2013, as I completed my final round of chemotherapy, my sister Tina gifted me a Tiffany necklace to celebrate the end of an incredibly taxing chapter. As I opened the iconic robin’s egg blue box, the glistening pendant sparked an idea that invoked my love of jewelry and my inherent artistic streak. Having been a fashion designer for many years after studying at New York City’s Parsons School of Design, the time came to bring my own aesthetic vision to life.

This 11-year endeavor is a symbolic journey of my cancer story, diagnosed as a young woman confronted with the fragility of life at such a pivotal age. Life was just beginning on my own terms; great things were about to happen. And great things did happen, just not on the terms I had envisioned.

This experience reshaped my understanding of my worth within societal norms. I could no longer rely on my physical body or my achievements to define my value. My hair, fertility, body parts, career—none of it was relevant. This led to a radical transformation and reclamation of self, beyond appearance and external offerings. Each piece of this collection represents a stage of my recovery process physically and emotionally. It encompasses both the palpable stress on the body, as well as the spiritual warfare within when our physical selves are vulnerable and weak.

Though deeply personal, my story is not unique. Every woman, diagnosis or not, faces internal and external trials that strip us to the core. These trials force us to question beliefs we are bound to and reveal what we are actually capable of. Ultimately, what is left of the experience is how we choose to define it. I weave my story into every creation, telling a narrative of resilience through struggle. However, my journey is not mine alone; my hope is that every woman finds a part of her own story in these intricate pieces, discovering beauty in the mess of the aftermath.

This collection is a celebration of victory and an homage to those who continue to fight every day with elegance, grace, and unapologetic ferocity.

As the artist evolves, so too will this collection. My creative expression will continue to unfold and expand. Wherever future inspiration may come from, the essence of my work will remain the same: to touch upon the unpredictability of this beautiful life, finding moments of joy and laughter in the midst of suffering; to be inspired by the journey, and all things meaningful.
